Pakistan Martial Arts Show 2014

Pakistan Martial Arts Federation (PMAF) held a three day Pakistan Martial Arts Show 2014 to pay tribute to all the legends of Martial Arts in Pakistan and to let all types of Martial Arts within the Pakistan’s Martial Arts industry to showcase their products and services. This event consisted of exhibition and demonstration of various martial arts practiced in Pakistan and All Pakistan Kyokushin Karate Championship from 14 to 16 November at Shahbaz Shareef Sports Complex Rawalpindi. Sensi Abdul Zahoor Hashmi was the Chief Organizer whereas Waheed Babar, Sensei Liaqat Ali and Sensei Jamil Iqbal were the other organizers of the event.

On November 14th, the event took a start with the inauguration ceremony after the arrival of Chief Guests Raja Hanif (MPA), Shahbaz Majeed Shaikh, Eijaz Majeed Shaikh, Faraz Majeed Shaikh (Latif Group of Industries) and Majid Saleem (Dar e Akbar Travels & Tours).  Demonstrations were given by

  • TDS Lion Dance Team of “Lion Dance”,
  • Nazir Ahmad Khan & Team of ”Bando”,
  • Grand Master Dr. Rizwan, Jahangir Khan, Asif Cheema, Ansar Masood  of “Bredan Fou Martial Arts”,
  • Nasir Khan & Team of Taekwando,
  • Danish & his team of “Wushu”,
  • Jahangir Khan & team from Elite Martial Arts Academy of “Mix Martial Arts”, and
  • Team from Liaqat Gym & Martial Arts Academy of “Kyokushin”.

Tribute to the following Martial Arts Legends of Pakistan was given:

  • Wushu Grand Master Malik Iftikhar (President Pakistan Wushu Federation),
  • Shihan Arshad Jan (Shin Kyokushinkai, President Pakistan Full Contact Karate Federation shin kyokushinkai),
  • Muhammad Jahangir (Shotokan, President Pakistan Karate Federation (PKF),  General Secretary of South Asian Karate Federation),
  • Shihan Syed Shakeel Ahmad (Kyokushin kai KanKarate),
  • Sensei Abdul Zahoor Hashmi (Founder Kyokushin Pakistan Federation),
  • Rehmat Gul Afridi (Kyokushinkai Kan Karate, Wushu),
  • Farshad Quraishi (Kyokushinkai Kan Karate),
  • Shihan Shahzad Ahmad (Founder & President Pakistan Martial Arts Connection Federation),

National Kyokushin Championship was held on the second and third day of the event in Juniors (Under 15) and Seniors Category. There were total 6 teams participating from all over Pakistan. Each team consisted of ten players. The event was concluded by awarding prize and awards to the winners. Winners were as follows:
